United States Navy (U.S. Navy) managed to free the Iranian fishermen who hijacked by pirates in the Arabian Sea, near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran also grateful for the action of the U.S. Navy, and called it a "humanitarian action".
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, uncover, thanked Iran for its citizens rescue action.
"Saving the Iranian fishermen who made the U.S. a humanitarian action, and we welcome the action," said Ramin, told Al-Alam media.
"The Iranian Navy is also involved in the rescue operation. It is the duty of all nations to rescue citizens from other countries of the pirates," said Ramin.
As reported by CNN, the vessel is known to exist since Thursday by a U.S. helicopter, flown from the destroyer USS Kidd. Destroyers and helicopters that are part of the fleet USS John Stennis, who moved to the Arabian Sea from the Persian Gulf last week.
After detecting the presence of the helicopter the pirates ship, the USS Kidd received a phone call from the captain on a fishing boat. At that time, the captain claimed his ship in the pirate's prisoner.
Rescue teams from the U.S. Navy was then in action, and succeeded in detaining 15 suspected pirates. A total of 13 crew members were successfully freed Iranian nationals.
